Custom ADA Signs
How to make signs ADA Compliant
We develop and customize ADA-compliant office signs, braille signs, and building direction signs using the latest laser engraving technique. We generate customized wayfinding signs for corporate offices, parks, hospitals, nursing homes, venues, and commercial developments.
At Window Graphics Sign Company, we have a committed graphic design team that will ensure your needs and requirements are met through a cautious consideration of the branding procedures, colors, and fonts that will produce excellent quality signage that meets the ADA standards.
Qualities of an ADA compliant sign
Choice of Fonts
The custom ADA signs fonts must be legible and seen from a distance and should not have any unknown characters. The signs should be in uppercase apart from visual-only signs like directional signs, directories, and overhead signs. Helvetica, Trebuchet, Vag Rounded, Futura, and Franklin Gothic are some of the characters that meet the requirements.
Braille
Some signs require to have braille in them to be ADA compliant. We can include customized braille to all signs to ensure they are compliant. However, parking signs, directories, temporary signs, and building addresses signs do not require braille.
Contrast and color
The sign should have a popping color that can be easily recognized and read from far. Providing bright color lettering and a dark background works miracles in most cases.
